Haiti Relief Efforts
» Dear Friend,
As you may have already heard, a powerful earthquake of 7.0 magnitude rocked Haiti just before 5 p.m. Eastern time on January 12, 2010, 10 miles southwest from the highly populated capital of Port-au-Prince. Early news reports cite the leveling of a hospital as well as widespread damage and panic.
During our visit to Haiti this past July, our team witnessed the extreme case of poverty first hand. With the limited supply of electricity and resources, lack of clean drinking water, under paved roads and densely populated communities that we saw, we are certain that the media is able to capture only a small portion of the devastation that this earthquake has brought to the Haitian people.
The time to act is NOW!
Project Eden is asking that in addition to your prayers, you get involved with relief efforts for Haiti.
We are currently accepting monetary donations in support of our relief efforts.
We have been in contact with our partners in Haiti and are currently assessing their needs. What has been determined is that the earthquake did affect a compound where one of the orphanages, school, hospital and clinic are located in Carrefour, a suburb of Port-au-Prince and there is much work to be done.
If you are able to provide supplies and services, or would like to get involved with Project Edenís Relief Efforts, please contact us by email directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. More information on our specific actions will be provided soon.
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.
